Marathon 201 is a new show from artist Taylor Schmidt, and is the midpoint of an ongoing 500-character illustration project exploring anxiety, identity, and creative evolution through a cast of abstract humanoid "runners." Featuring Runner #201-#400, the exhibition transforms nearly a decade of experimentation with form, color, and expression into an immersive installation of one-of-one monoprints and large-scale works.

Alongside the core body of work, more than 40 artists from New York and around the world reinterpret individual runners from Schmidt’s collection through their own creative practices, creating a collective exploration of transformation, instability, and the shared experience of continuing forward.
